Inseparable
“Inseperable” was made for the GMTK Game Jam 2021. It’s a co-op puzzle game where each character is controller by one half of the gamepad.

My Contributions
I was solo tech for the project.
I worked on player controls and abilities, puzzle objects and level transitions.
I contributed to some of the puzzle designs.
Outcomes
Created systems that allows for designers to create puzzles using the pieces.
Got to work with custom character assets.
Created a unique and thematic control scheme.
Critique
Physics is a little off at some points making puzzles harder to solve.
Some of my designed puzzles suffered from the lack of testing available in a jam, resulting in them being harder than intended.
The lab area uses basic puzzles to introduce the mechanics of the game. It’s set in an experimental lab surrounded by an ocean of acid.
The moon area uses more logic and sequence based puzzles. The puzzles combine the skills the player will have learned throughout the earlier levels.
Each Area type contains 3 puzzle levels. Each level was intended to have an unhinged feeling to support the surreal theme.
The Corner Shop focuses on moving the shelving units up and down to solve the puzzles. Implementation of the puzzles is straightforward, but the timing on some of them is a little too tight.
